The Garden Rooms are delighted to announce an exhibition of heritage quilts in collaboration with The Quilters Guild. A stunning array of 18th, 19th, and early 20th century quilts from the Guild’s historic collection will go on display next spring in The Garden Rooms. ‘Patchwork, Pattern & Print’ will explore the developments and changes in technology, construction and fashionable fabrics in patchworks and quilting.

Accompanying the exhibition will be a series of lectures and practical workshops. Further details will be announced here early next year.

21st April

10.30-4pm

We will be joined by quilters from the Middleham Quilters on 21st April, who will be spending the day quilting live in the exhibition, showing visitors their work and samples of different quilting techniques, and talking about the practicalities of quilting and patchworking.

This is a free event, so please do come along to talk all things quilts!
