8th July 2018

Yorkshire is a place of extraordinary variety – from the dramatic coastal cliffs to rolling farmland and high moors, vibrant cities to historic towns, picture postcard villages to the industrial landscapes that helped forge our country. This year The Garden Rooms at Tennants invited amateur photographers from around the region to enter our photographic competition, and show us their view of ‘My Yorkshire’. The many fantastic entries have now been whittled down to the final thirty, which will be on display in the exhibition. With images from across Yorkshire, the final photographs celebrate the beautiful and dramatic nature of our home county.

The gallery exhibition will run from 16th June – 8th July. Visitors will be invited to vote for their favourite, and the winning entry will receive a prize and will be included, along with the eleven runners up, in The Garden Rooms 2019 Calendar (which will be available to pre-order or purchase from The Garden Rooms Gift Shop after the exhibition). Many of the photographs will be for sale, with 10% of proceeds donated to Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, who kindly helped pick the finalists.
