Richmondshire Orchestra Winter Concert

Sunday 1st December

Richmondshire Orchestra performs an all-English programme of Vaughan Williams ‘Overture’ to the ‘The Wasps’, Delius ‘A Walk to the Paradise Gardens’, Elgar’s renowned ‘Enigma Variations’ and mezzo soprano Susan Marrs performs Elgar’s ‘Sea Pictures’. A fellow of Trinity College of Music with an extensive repertoire, Susan has performed with The Royal Opera House Covent Garden, ‘London Voices’ and sung for film score recordings including Star Wars and Harry Potter.

About Richmondshire Orchestra 

Richmondshire Orchestra is a thriving community orchestra, formed in 1970. It meets weekly in Richmond during term time, and draws players from a wide area of the Dales, North Yorkshire and County Durham. Over the years it has had several conductors, most recently Peter Stallworthy who previously worked with Manchester Sinfonia and CBS Records (now Sony Classical).

Concert starts – 3.00pm
