This beautiful Yoga Workshop is for all who wish to de-stress and relax. A truly restorative experience, this 6hr Workshop includes a Gentle Yoga Class with Kelly Thistlethwaite, Guided forest bath walk with Faith Douglas, Delicious Yogic Afternoon Tea and a Guided Relaxation class to finish with Kelly Thistlethwaite.
My name is Kelly Thistlethwaite and I am the owner of Yorkshire Yogi. I am a proud Yorkshire lass and love anything to do with Yoga and Wellbeing. Since qualifying over 11 years ago in Sports Rehabilitation I have worked in in a variety of settings from sports clubs and private injury clinics to The Defence Military Rehabilitation Centre -DMRC Hedley Court which is the centre of excellence for rehabilitation within the British Military.
I have also worked at the Help for Heroes Recovery Centre in Catterick where I was a Physical Development Coach specialising in Health and Wellbeing. One of the larger pieces that I developed at Phoenix House was An Adaptive and Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Relaxation Programme. A programme which benefited hundreds of people suffering with anxiety, depression, PTSD and other Mental Health as well as physical injuries. A programme which I am very proud of and a style of teaching that I will share with the public in my workshops.
I have vast experience with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions and I understand the deep connection between the body and mind in injury recovery, sporting performance, and everyday life. My workshops cater for all and are fully adaptive.
My work experience and personal passion for inspiring others led me to develop Yorkshire Yogi to give me the opportunity to work with diverse groups of people. I work to inspire others, be enthusiastic with a calm spirit and offer my wealth and depth of knowledge to enhance your life.
My workshops create a space for you to slow down, connect to yourself and nature, eat beautiful food and leave you feeling refreshed, calm and content.

This beautiful Yoga Workshop is for all who wish to de-stress and relax. A truly restorative experience, this 6 hour Workshop includes a 90 min Gentle Yoga class which will take you through a variety of Yoga posers and sequences to aid mobility, strength, balance, circulation and overall wellbeing.
We will then enjoy a stroll through the surrounding countryside with Faith Douglas who is the curator at Thorpe Perrow in Bedale. This mindful forest bath is a guided walk which will be no longer than 1.5miles long. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about and connect to your surroundings and feel the powerful and grounding effects that it can have.
You will then return for a Yogic Afternoon Tea at The Garden Rooms which is a nutritious and delicious treat for you to enjoy over a good old fashioned natter with others attending the day.
To finish this beautiful day you will have a 45min Guided Relaxation class. This class will teach you effective breathing exercises which can aid relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety and leave you feeling refreshed, calm and focused.
