Part of a collection of animal skulls to be sold in the Natural History & Taxidermy Sale on 6th July. The collection was put together over many years by Dr Ellis Tinsley, a consultant pathologist from Yorkshire. An early fascination with skulls was to endure for the rest of his life. The majority of the skulls in the Tinsley Collection were sourced from zoos around the country through Ellis’s part-time work as a veterinary pathologist, and through a veterinary friend of Ellis’.
The vendor is donating the profits from the sale to charity, splitting it evenly between the World Wildlife Fund and Emmanuel College Cambridge, where it will help fund students carrying out charity work abroad.
