Black Tie Charity Ball

Saturday 8th February

About the Charity

The event aims to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease Association (Registered charity number 294354 for England & Wales).

Motor neurone disease (MND) affects the nerves known as motor neurones. These nerves tell your muscles what to do and are found in the brain and spinal cord. MND affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time. There is a 1 in 300 risk of getting MND across a lifetime. It can affect adults of any age, but is more likely to affect people over 50. MND is life-shortening and there is no cure.

With your help, this evening intends raise awareness for Motor Neurones Disease, and to help reach the fundraising target of £19,340 (The height of Kilimanjaro - 19,340ft) for a sponsored climb by the event hosts, whose father has been affected by motor neurones disease.
